Yeah… THAT family. Yeah, HIS daughter. Yeah, HER sister. Stop rolling your eyes–it’s interfering with the music. If you refocus the time you spend bitching about Noah Cyrus to listening to Noah Cyrus, you will be very pleasantly surprised. She’s following more in father Billy Ray’s footsteps with a country feel than sister Miley’s pop direction. This is further evidenced by her interesting collaborations, with co-artists as varied as Leon Bridges and EDM producer Diplo.
Her second EP, THE END OF EVERYTHING, was released this past May. Several pre-release singles preceded it, including the Bridges collaboration, July. We’re playing that, along with Young and Sad (which features a nice voicemail intro from Dear Ol’ Dad). Also, have a listen to the Diplo collaboration On Mine from Chapter 1: Snake Oil, a fascinating release with Diplo preferring to be referenced by his real first and middle name, Thomas Wesley.
